SMM GDC Zainapora was established in 2019 in Zainapora, a beautiful and picturesque township and Sub-divisional Headquarter of district Shopian. It started its first batch with hundred odd students in April, 2020. Zainapora is so centrally and favorably located and accessible in the area that our college witnesses a huge rush of students seeking admission. It draws students from adjoining areas of district Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam as well. Currently our total student strength is 247 and we are happy that two batchs of 86 and 150 students respectively passed out from the college.

            At present the college is housed in one of the building of GHS Zainapora. The college has also its two own pre-fabricated huts with three spacious classrooms. The college has been allotted land measuring 78.55 Kanals at Reshipora and the construction of a huge (G+3) college building is under way at a good pace and is expected to be taken over by the college by the year March 2025. Meanwhile the college authorities have developed and extended basic infrastructural and academic amenities in the makeshift accommodation. The college has four smart classrooms and a Browsing Centre with installed Broadband connection. The college library has been enriched with a good number of quality books. The human resource available in terms of faculty and non-teaching staff is competent enough to face all academic and other challenges.
