Welcome to Govt. Degree College, Vijaypur

Govt. Degree College Vijaypur, affiliated with University of Jammu, established in the year 2019. The college is placed at frontier of District Samba and is some 20 kms from Jammu Bus stand. As the college don’t have its own building yet, it is located over first floor of DIET building at left side from Jammu to Samba national highway by 0.5 kms. The college is running courses like B.A, B.Com, having some ten rooms, of which three rooms fulfill the Principal, staff and administration; one hall for seminars, and other events; other rooms’ serves as classrooms. There is a hall that serves as library. Every classroom is equipped with LED display to promote modernized teaching way and effective education. Recently, a lab for geography has been set up, accommodates two rooms. Every in and out, of the college campus is covered under CCTV surveillance. To maintain health and sanitation, college has three washrooms and proper drinking water facility within the building. The University of Jammu known as Jammu University (JU), accredited as A+ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation council, was established in 1969 by an act of the state legislature which effectively split the Jammu and Kashmir University into the separate University of Jammu and University of Kashmir.
