Government Degree College Thannamandi is a higher education institution located in the town of Thannamandi in JK (UT) at the foothills of snow clad Pir Panjal range between 33.33/N latitude and 74.25/E longitudes. It is situated at about 22kms from district headquarter Rajouri and about 170 kms from Jammu.

The college was established in the year 2005 with the aim of providing quality higher education to the students   of the area. It has been NAAC accredited and is recognized by UGC under 2(f) &12(B). It is affiliated with the University of Jammu and offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Social Science streams.

The College boasts of a spacious and well-equipped campus which is replete with modern state-of-the-art amenities such as smart classrooms, a well-stocked library, computer labs, science labs, auditorium, sports facilities, browsing centre etc. The faculty members of the college are highly qualified and experienced who strive to provide quality education to the students.

At IGNOU Exam Centre, students can avail themselves of the opportunity to appear for various IGNOU examinations, offering a wide range of diploma, degree, and certificate courses across multiple disciplines.
