Welcome to Govt. Degree College, Kunjwani/Sainik Colony
GDC Kunjwani, over a period of time has emerged as a fast-growing institution of higher learning in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Established in 2019, the College had its modest beginning from the premises of Govt. M.A.M PG College Jammu as a makeshift arrangement. At present, the College is located in village Deeli Kunjwani Jammu which is situated at a distance of 200 meters on NH 44 from Kunjwani, 1Km from main chowk Kunjwani towards Bari Brahmana.
The College offers quality infrastructure to meet the multiple educational needs of the students. The building has well equipped classrooms and seminar room for deliberations. It also has a well stocked library with books, Journals and Newspapers. At present the College is running three streams i.e Science, Humanities and Commerce and is also running regular skill courses in different phases as a step towards expansion of education under the implementation of NEP 2020.
It aims at making the academic programmes student oriented, flexible, interdisciplinary, and relevant to the times. The students have ample choice to select the electives that suit their interest, aptitude and needs. As GDC Kunjwani is located near industrial area, it aims to have a linkage with the industry, and to focus on enhancement of the skill capabilities of students thus improving their ability for career placement. The College has a well trained and experienced faculty.
