About

The Directorate of Colleges was established in 1997 to oversee and enhance the higher education landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. Operating under the guidance of the Administrative Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Higher Education Department, the Directorate is dedicated to implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Department's strategic vision and policies across the region.

The Directorate's primary goal is to transform Jammu and Kashmir into a center of academic excellence. It strives to provide equitable access to values-based, high-quality education that evolves in tandem with socio-economic and cultural needs. This commitment ensures that our students are nurtured into progressive, productive, and well-rounded members of society.
