Govt. Degree College Dangiwacha was established in 2019 by Department of Higher Education Jammu and Kashmir Government. The college is affiliated to University of Kashmir. The college is located at Dangiwacha headquarters at a distance of 20 kilometers from main town Baramulla and 15 kilometers from Sopore town. The college has a land of 84 kanals located on the banks of Nallah Hamal having a picturesque view, where work of pre fabricated huts is about its completion and construction of main building is under progress. As of now, the college offers Bachelors in Arts with subjects like English, Political Science, Kashmiri, and Environmental Science and other multidisciplinary/ability enhancement courses and skill courses. The college regularly engages students in co-curricular activities like debates, seminars, writing compilations, extempore, sports etc. Feeding Higher Secondary Schools to this college are HSS Behrampora, HSS Zethan, HSS Chatoosa, HSS Ashpora and HSS Dangiwacha.
Still a newly established college, the staff and students are always on its toes to make it an institution of excellence.
