Govt. Degree College, Udhampur is decades old college, has been established in 1961 and has produced highly acclaimed academicians, Padam Shri Awardees, politicians, artists , administrators who have earned name and fame globally.
The college offers UG in 28 subjects and PG in 03 subjects i.e. Chemistry, English and Hindi. This institution is hub of curricular and co-curricular activities including Games/Sports, NCC, NSS. The college has well equipped laboratories, automated library, botanical garden with rare species, Vatika for girls, capacious sports field, CCTV Surveillance System, IGNOU and DDE Centre and conducive teaching learning atmosphere. As nodal college of the District, many mega events are being organized.
