The college was founded in 2019 by State Administrative Council Decision No. 18/02/2019, dated 14-01-2019, and Government No. 48-HE of 2019, dated 05- 02-2019. The college is close to the well-known Mughal Garden Verinag, a well-liked tourist attraction. The visually stunning Pirpanjal mountain range, adorned with lush greenery, is situated just in front of the campus. The college is roughly 06 km from the ancient Jawahar Tunnel and 27 kilometres from the major town of Annatnag.The college, lying at the foothill of Banihal pass flanked by lofty snow-clad mountains, is situated in the Verinag town of Anantnag district. The town is blessed with meandering meadows and a sacred spring, Verinag, which is believed to be the origin of the Jhelum River. Besides being a major tourist attraction destination, the town of Verinag is home to some notable and celebrated Kashmiri poets like Rasul Mir, popularly called the John Keats of Kashmir and Mehmood Gami, founder of Kashmiri sufi poetry.

1.ADMISSION POLICY

The admission to the college is primarily based on merit secured in the Common University Entrance Test as well as through the non-CUET channel. The college on the whole ensures fair and transparent admission process to provide equal opportunity to all aspirants irrespective of their socioeconomic and educational upbringing.The admission procedures for various undergraduate courses offered by the college strictly follow the guidelines and norms stipulated in the New Education Policy issued by the University Grants Commission. The college is committed to providing holistic development and a multidisciplinary approach to learning with a focus on allowing students to explore diverse subjects, soft skills, and vocational courses and so on irrespective of the stream of study.

2. STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

a). LIBRARY
To meet the academic needs of the students, the college features a very good library with 5,000 books.
 
b). BROWSING CENTRE:-
There is a spacious browsing centre comprising 30 computers available at the disposal of students with high speed internet facility. The aim of providing this facility is to enable the students to have access to the online available treasure of knowledge.
c)  PLAY GROUND
One of the goals of education is to help students achieve Physical Development, and the college offers a large, lush, green playground where they can engage in a variety of games and sports during their free time.
